| History |
It all began on a very cold day during Christmas 1998 - December 26th to be more specific.
Thumber, Boulder and Ramses decided to form a Quake 2 Lithium clan and after some debating they
came up with the name House Valhalla for their newly formed clan. There you go – three buddies
sharing an ISDN connection – back then that was strength enough to take on the world.
We started gaming on public servers and soon we got ourselves some new friends.
As our play evolved hardcore fraggers like Exco, Chip, Kazzens & Neuroz joined our ranks.
We started playing clanwars and rather quickly we dominated the entire Danish scene.
After a while some of us in House Valhalla became bored with the lithium mod and instead of
that we started playing lots of Action Quake 2. In the summer 1999 it led to a split up of the
clan and Ramses and the other lithium players formed their own clan called 3V – Veni Vidi Vici.
The AQ2 days were fast and furious. A truckload of wars were played versus Danish clans only –
the scene was very big back then. A lot of players entered and left our clan during the years of AQ2.
In the spring 2000 most of us were burned out with the game and Thumber started to look for a new game to play.
After a lot of searching on the net he came upon a project in the making. The official site didn’t offer much
to look at, actually nothing more than a forum. Still the ideas and the people behind the project was enough
to catch his interest. Finally on June 5th 2000 we stopped our aq2 division completely and converted
to Urban Terror for Quake3. A month later the first version was released. Only the core of HV was
left (Thumber, Boulder & Chino), but it didn’t take too long before old aq2 gamers as Baret, Twinduck and
Frezzer from GRAMS/SoV came on board. It just kept on rolling and soon Legomanser, Fumle, Blaster, Goldy
and Sentenced joined.
All good things have to come to an end, November 2004 the era of Urban Terror was replaced by Everquest 2 from
Sony Online Entertainment. All in the guild started playing this highly addictive game, its an online
mass roleplaying game.
Today (April, 2006) we are still playing Everquest 2, alltho some of the guildies freelance in other games :)
